The IIHS has announced that the 2017 and 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLC has received its highest safety ratings possible, earning the Top Safety Pick+ rating.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, gave the Mercedes-Benz GLC its top “good” rating in all five of its tests — small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraints. Also the GLC comes with a standard front crash prevention system that received a superior rating, since the GLC avoided collisions in the IIHS track tests at 12 mph and 25 mph.
The optional curve-adaptive LED headlights earn a good rating, and the optional static LED headlights rate acceptable. The base halogen headlights received a marginal rating.
