Mercedes-Benz has two new AMG versions of the GLC, the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 and the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S E Performance.

2025 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE

The GLC 43 says goodbye to the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 and is now powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with an integrated starter generator that generates a combined 416 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. That’s an increase of 31 hp but 15 pound-feet less than the old V-6. The belt-driven starter generator can an additional 13 horsepower at lower speeds. The four-cylinder is mated to a 9-speed wet multi-disc start-off clutch transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive. The GLC 43 accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph.

The GLC 43 also gets rear-axle steering and an air suspension with adaptive damping.

If you want more, then there’s the GLC 63 S E Performance. It’s powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a rear-mounted electric motor to generate a combined 671 hp and 752 pound-feet of torque. That turbocharged engine brings 469 hp and 402 lb-ft. to the table, making it the most powerful four-cylinder in the world. The electric motor has 201 hp. The powertrain is mated to the same 9-speed transmission as the GLC 43, but the 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system can send up to 100 percent of the torque to the rear wheels. It can also reach 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 171 mph.

Inside there’s a unique steering wheel with aluminum shift paddles and the seats can be wrapped in Nappa leather.

The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 will go on sale early next year and then will be followed later in 2024 by the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S E Performance.
