McLaren hasn’t unveiled the new Speedtail yet, but sadly all 106 units are already spoken for. McLaren has also announced that the lucky 106 buyers will have the option of adding a unique McLaren badge that features 18 carat white gold and carbon-fiber inlays.

The unique McLaren badge with the ‘Speedmark’ logo is created by a specialist company in the UK’s Birmingham Jewelry Quarter. A set of three badges, two brand badges on the front and one name badge on the rear is available as part of the tailoring opportunities available from McLaren Special Operations for the three-seat Speedtail Hyper-GT.

The 18 carat white-gold emblems on the front and back of Speedtail are laser-etched with a McLaren hallmark, showing where and when they were created, and feature carbon inserts utilizing McLaren’s new Thin Ply Technology. The front badge weighs 100 grams, but for buyers that want to keep the Speedtail’s weight in check, they can select a lacquered transfer that weighs almost nothing.

“As beautiful pieces of exquisitely hand-crafted jewelry, the white-gold badges perfectly set off a car that in every way represents a new gold standard for McLaren luxury,” stated Rob Melville, McLaren Automotive Design Director. “They fit perfectly with the philosophy of the Speedtail, the most luxurious car in McLaren Automotive’s portfolio, as well as paying homage to its forebear, the McLaren F1.”

The McLaren Speedtail will officially debut on October 26.
