McLaren has unveiled 10 unique McLaren 570S coupes that are inspired by the McLaren 570S GT4 race car. The fully road legal 570S coupes were delivered today to their lucky new owners at a special McLaren customer event near Las Vegas.

The 570S coupes were designed to look like the McLaren 570S GT4 race car as closely as possible and all have liveries inspired by McLaren F1 GTR race cars of the mid-1990s. On the outside each car features a 570S GT4-inspired, pylon-mounted rear wing that provides an extra 100kg of downforce. A fully functional ‘goose neck’ carbon fiber roof snorkel has also been added for enhanced induction airflow. Other upgrades include front dive planes, an MSO Titanium Super Sports Exhaust, Pirelli P ZERO CORSA tires and a 570S GT4-style hood with special air intakes that work in conjunction with the roof snorkel and rear wing as a complete MSO aerodynamic package.

To help cut down the 570 S coupe’s weight an extensive use of satin finish carbon fiber is used for the roof, hood, side skirts, engine cover and rear bumper.

“The MSO X collection is the perfect example of the rich vein of bespoke service offered by McLaren Special Operations,” stated Jolyon Nash, McLaren Automotive Executive Director, Global Sales and Marketing. “Customers come to us with their thoughts and ideas and MSO works with them to set boundaries within which they can then let their imaginations run wild. What could be better than a McLaren buyer playing the role of ‘race engineer’ in briefing the MSO team and directing them to test and validate those ideas to create a race-bred road car such as this?”

The interior features a track-oriented, minimalist design. The carbon fiber Monocell 2 chassis has been exposed, while the driver and passenger sit in carbon shell bucket seats. The center tunnel storage bin has been removed to save weight and the MSO X cars are also equipped with a color matched harness bar to hold the 6-point racing harnesses for track driving.
