Mazda has been pretty slow to adopt Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It only started adding it to the Mazda6 this year and the 2019 CX-5 and CX-9 models are getting it as well. Now Mazda has announced that it will add the technology to 2014 models and newer equipped with the Mazda Connect infotainment system.
This is great news! The technology can be added as a dealer installed accessory for only $199 including the cost of labor. The update includes both hardware and software components, which includes faster-charging 2.1-amp USB ports in addition to the latest version of Mazda Connect.
Mazda says that it will only take two hours for the dealer to perform the upgrade. You can contact your dealer now to make an appointment.
