The 2021 Mazda3 Turbo is going to officially debut on July 8, but Mazda Mexico has revealed the specs for the turbocharged Mazda3.

There might be a few differences between the US-spec Mazda3 Turbo and the version sold in Mexico, so we’ll have to wait to get the official details here. But in Mexico, the Mazda3 Turbo is powered by a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 227 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. That’s the same engine in the Mazda6, CX-5 and CX-9.

Those specs are likely with 87 octane gasoline, since in the other Mazda models, 93 octane gas increases those specs to 250 hp and 320 lb-ft.

The Mazda3 Turbo will come standard with all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Stay tuned, since we’ll have more details in two days.
