We’ve heard several reports that Mazda is going to expand its lineup with the new CX-50 crossover and now Mazda has announced that it will soon introduce three new SUVs. The new SUVs will be called the CX-50, CX-70, and CX-90.

The CX-50 and CX-70 will be new additions to the lineup, while the CX-90 will replace the current CX-9.

The CX-50 will be sold alongside the CX-5 and it will arrive first. The midsize CX-50 is slated to debut in November and shares its platform with the CX-30 and Mazda3. Production will begin in January 2022 at the new Mazda Toyota joint venture factory, Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, U.S.A., Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama.

The CX-70 and CX-90 will be based on a new large platform with an inline six-cylinder engine and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The CX-70 will only have two rows of seats, while the CX-90 will have three rows. Mazda hasn’t announced when the CX-70 and CX-90 will arrive.
