We’re getting closer to the debut of the Lucid Air electric sedan, which is going to debut on September 9, 2020. Lucid continues to release little tidbits of info about the Air, its first model and today Lucid has announced that the Lucid Air is getting the brand’s DreamDrive driver assistance tech.

The DreamDrive suite features the combination of a driver monitoring system and a sensor suite that includes high-resolution Lidar. The Lucid Air will arrive with 32 sensors comprised of the latest camera, radar and ultrasonic sensors, plus a long-range, high-resolution Lidar placed at the front of the electric car.

Lucid’s DreamDrive suite is also the first ADAS system built upon a high-speed Ethernet Ring. The DreamDrive tech suite supports 19 safety, driving, and parking assist features that will be available on the Lucid Air, which includes features like: Surround View Monitoring, Blind Spot Display, Cross Traffic Protection, Traffic Sign Recognition, Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centering, Autonomous Parking Assist, and Maneuver Comfort Braking.

Another eight features expected to be available later via over-the-air updates and level 3 autonomous driving capability is also in the works.
