Lucid just held their “Tech & Manufacturing Day” event where they announced more information on the Gravity SUV and dropped a teaser photo of their upcoming sub-$50k midsized crossover.

The released photo shows a smaller, sporty crossover with fluid, sculpted lines, and an aggressive stance. The front clearly displays the trademark Lucid name spelled out in illuminated block letters, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the brand’s signature front lightbar made its way onto the face as well.

This new midsized crossover has been rumored to be called the “Earth” after recent trademark filings by the company. Lucid plans to lean heavily upon its established efficiency advantages with this new vehicle, seeking to deliver competitive range with a smaller battery than the competition. Lucid expects this new midsized platform to begin production in late 2026 and have a starting price under $50,000 when it goes on sale.

Lucid also announced a new “Atlas” drive unit destined for use in this upcoming midsize vehicle. This new drive unit has been developed for a lower cost while maintaining the brand’s commitment to superior performance and efficiency.

Lucid also announced the inclusion of Tesla’s NACS port standard on Lucid Gravity vehicles beginning in 2025 making it the first Lucid vehicle to come with the NACS port natively from the factory.

The Gravity will begin production later this year.
