Lincoln currently doesn’t offer any sedans in its US lineup, but that will soon change. A few months ago Lincoln unveiled the Zephyr Reflection concept and last month it was discovered that Lincoln trademarked the Zephyr name, which means a production version is coming soon. Now leaked patent images of what appears to be the production version of the Zephyr have leaked online.
Japan’s Sun News has posted the patent images of the new Zephyr sedan, which looks pretty close to the concept. The differences we can see are bigger mirrors, revised air intakes and slightly restyled headlights.
We don’t know what will power the Zephyr, but it will likely get a range of turbocharged engines. The Zephyr is expected to debut by the end of 2021, but the bad news is that it will be sold exclusively in China, which means that in the US Lincoln will likely continue to only offer SUVs.
