It’s the end of the line for the US-spec Ford Ranger. Next week Ford is going to produce the last Ford Ranger at its plant in St. Paul, Minnesota. It looks like that last Ford Ranger has already been spoken for, by the pest control company, Orkin.

The Ford Ranger name first appeared in 1965 as a package for the the F-Series pickup, but in 1982 it became a compact pickup truck. 30 years later, Ford has decided to focus its energy on the F-Series.

Although Ford is abandoning the segment, GM remains committed to it with the next-generation Chevy Colorado.
