To make sure that the driver and passengers don’t accidentally open the door when other cars or cyclists are approaching, the 2019 Discovery is available with a new Clear Exit Detection system. The system automatically detects if a car, cyclist or other hazard is approaching from the rear and flashes a warning light on the door to alert the vehicle’s occupants.

The Adaptive Cruise Control system now includes stop & go support. The system can now bring the Discovery to a complete stop in traffic and if the traffic moves again within three seconds, the cruise control system will automatically accelerate the vehicle.
