Crossover coupes don’t seem to be going away anytime soon and now it looks like Land Rover may also be working on a sleeker crossover that would rival the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.
It’s being reported that Land Rover is developing a new model, codenamed L560. According to Autocar, the new SUV will share some of its DNA with the Jaguar F-Pace and it will be position between the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport. The same report also claims that it could be called the Range Rover Sport Coupe.

Since it will be called a “coupe,” the Range Rover Sport Coupe will have a 2+2 seating layout, but a five seater configuration could be offered later. Since it will borrow its platform from the F-Pace, it will be smaller than the BMW X6 with a driver focused interior.

Under the hood, the Range Rover Sport Coupe will be offered with a range of six- and eight-cylinder engines. There’s even a possibility that an electric version could be offered, since the F-Pace is expected to debut with an electric powertrain in the near future.
