Lamborghini may have given us our first look at the Lamborghini Urus SUV, which is going to debut in December. Lamborghini released a press release today to highlight the changes that it’s making at plant in Sant’ Agata Bolognese, Italy for the new SUV. The lead image with the press release doesn’t show two workers building one of Lamborghini’s supercars, but instead it might be the new Urus.

Sadly the photo doesn’t reveal too much other than its rear brakes and exhaust. The Lamborghini Urus will be built on the same platform as the Audi Q7, Bentley Bentayga and Porsche Cayenne, but obviously the Urus will be the sportiest of the three. It’s been reported that the Urus will have around 650 horsepower.

Lamborghini hasn’t released any real teasers of the Urus, so all we have to go on is the Urus concept that debuted way back in 2012. The Lamborghini Urus will finally debut on December 4.

The upgrades to Lamborghini’s plant will give it the ability to double its annual production to 7,000 units. The Urus will also be built on its own assembly line and to fully test the SUV, Lamborghini has built a new test track with thirteen different surfaces specific to SUVs.

“With our third model, we wanted to introduce the most innovative production technologies and smart factory concepts, supporting and complementing the activities of our workforce. Urus ushers in a new model of factory, which we call Manifattura Lamborghini, a new point of reference in the luxury automobile industry,” stated Ranieri Niccoli, Chief Manufacturing Officer. “The substantial resultant benefits include greater production flexibility, better information accessibility, and the interconnection of systems: strengthening the professionalism of craftsmanship that has always distinguished us and supporting the doubling of our production volumes.”
