Earlier this year Toyota and Tesla announced plans to work together on future electric vehicles and this summer Toyota revealed that a RAV4 EV was in the works using Tesla’s technology. Next week the Toyota RAV4 EV will officially be unveiled at the LA Auto Show.
The RAV4 EV uses the body of the RAV 4, while Tesla has supplied the electric powertrain. Toyota has released two teaser images while we wait for the official unveiling next week. The RAV4 EV is slated to go on sale in 2012.
