Kia has announced that production of its new flagship SUV, the 2020 Telluride, has begun at its plant in Georgia. The first 2020 Kia Telluride to roll off the production line was a dark moss colored Telluride with the SX Prestige package.

“The addition of the Kia Telluride to KMMG is further evidence of our commitment to the U.S. and local economy,” said Kia Motors North America CEO Sean Yoon. “This vehicle was imagined and designed specifically for the United States in our Kia Design Center in Irvine, California and is now being assembled here in West Point. There is no doubt that the world-class quality and attention to detail of the Telluride will be second to none.”

The 2020 Kia Telluride starts at $31,690 and is offered in four trim levels: LS, S, EX and SX. All of them are powered by a 3.8L V6 with 291-hp and 262 lb-ft. of torque that’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Depending on which trim level you choose, the Telluride will either have room for seven or eight passengers.
