“The 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer return as a premium extension of the Jeep brand and mark the rebirth of an American icon while continuing their legacy as the first modern SUVs.”

Jeep gave us a preview of the new Wagoneer with the concept version last fall. Jeep says that the “Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer build on a rich heritage of premium American craftsmanship, heritage and refinement while offering a new level of comfort, legendary 4×4 capability and customer service.”

Jeep has also confirmed that the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will be the first vehicles to have integrated Amazon Fire TV for Auto. The system works like a traditional Fire TV stick and will let rear seat passengers stream their videos. The front passenger will also get a screen to watch content on Fire TV as well, but the driver will not be able to see it thanks to a privacy filter. The driver can view Fire TV on the main Uconnect 5 screen, when the vehicle is parked.

“We reimagined Fire TV for the automobile with a purpose-built experience that delivers the best in entertainment, anywhere you go,” said Sandeep Gupta, Vice President and General Manager of Amazon Fire TV. “With Fire TV built in, customers can stream their favorite shows, see if they left the lights on at home with Alexa, and take advantage of unique controls through the Uconnect system.”
