Jaguar has announced the introduction of a new 300 horsepower 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be available on the Jaguar XE, XF and F-Pace models.

The new 2.0L engine also generates 295 lb-ft. of torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. In the F-Pace, the turbocharged four-cylinder accelerates the SUV from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds and gets 37 mpg UK. The Jaguar XF with the new engine reaches 60 mph in 5.5 seconds is rated at 40 mpg UK. Lastly in the XE the 2.0L gives it a 0-60 mph time of 5.2 seconds and a 41.5 mpg UK rating.

The introduction of the new 300-hp 2.0L turbocharged engine is the latest in a series of enhancements to the XE, XF and F-Pace. Earlier this year the range of advanced Ingenium engines expanded to include 200-hp and 250-hp versions of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. A 240-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder twin turbo diesel was also introduced.
