Yesterday Jaguar unveiled the all-new XF Sportbrake – a new wagon that will take on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Volvo V90. Jaguar had already confirmed that the XF Sportbrake is coming to the United States, but now we know that it will arrive next winter and will be priced from $71,445.
The XF Sportbrake will be the first XF sold in the U.S. and will give Jaguar a new model in a segment that was killed off by the SUV years ago. Other automakers are also developing new wagons as an alternative to SUVs, like the new Buick Regal TourX wagon and the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo.

In the U.S. the XF Sportbrake will be powered by a 3.0L supercharged V6 with 380 horsepower that’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. According to Jaguar it will be able to reach 60 mph in 5.3 seconds, but its top speed is electronically limited to 121 mph.
The XF Sportbrake will go on sale first in Europe this summer.
