It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge and now we know why. Infiniti has officially killed the plans to produce the GT-R powered Q50 Eau Rouge.
Why? Infiniti vice-president Francois Goupil de Bouille recently told Car magazine, “After we evaluated sales numbers, we realized it was not realistic to produce it. It was just too costly. That was it.” It was expected that if the Q50 Eau Rouge did come to life that it would have a price tag around $100k.

The Q50 Eau Rouge was originally revealed back in the beginning of 2014. On the outside it sported a different body kit and wheels to make it stand apart from the standard Q50, but under the hood it was powered by the Nissan GT-R’s 560-hp twin-turbocharged V6.
