Infiniti is officially not bringing the M25 sedan to the U.S. according to a source that confirmed the bad news to Inside Line.

In Japan, the Infiniti M (called the Nissan Fuga) is available with a 2.5L VQ25VHR engine that puts out 218 horsepower. While the 2.5L does work in the G25, it isn’t the right for the larger M sedan in the U.S. Does it really sound that exciting to drive a 4,000 pound sedan with 218 horsepower and 217 lb-ft. of torque?

An M25 would have brought the entry price for the M sedan down and it would have gotten better gas mileage to compete with models like the BMW 528i, but would you actually want it?
