BMW has just announced the 335i is going to get all-wheel-drive, which actually makes it faster than the rear-wheel-drive version. Infiniti is likely to make AWD optional on the new G37 coupe to keep it competitive with the 3-Series coupes and the upcoming Audi A5/S5.

According to its communications manager Tim Gallagher, Infiniti dealers and customers have been asking for an all-wheel-drive version of the coupe for some time. The chances of the AWD coupe are likely, but the coupe hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Infiniti recently announced that AWD will be optional on the 2008 M45 sedan.
