Hyundai Ioniq hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric models to debut in Geneva

Hyundai is going to unveil the full Euro-spec Ioniq line-up next week at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, which includes the Ioniq hybrid, Ionig plug-in hybrid and Ioniq electric.

Hyundai is going to unveil the full Euro-spec Ioniq line-up next week at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, which includes the Ioniq hybrid, Ionig plug-in hybrid and Ioniq electric. The Ioniq is the first model to offer three electrified powertrains, which is part of Hyundai’s plan to “make low-to zero-emission mobility accessible to everyone.”

The Ioniq Hybrid is powered by a 1.6L four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that together generate 141 horsepower. The Ioniq hybrid will be able to travel short distances in full electric mode, but Hyundai hasn’t released how far or how fast it can travel without emitting any emissions.

The Euro-spec Ioniq Plug-in hybrid can travel up to 31 miles in electric mode thanks to its 8.9 kWh lithium-ion battery. The Ioniq Electric is powered by a 28 kWh lithium-ion battery that gives it a driving range of 155 miles and the 118 horsepower electric motor can accelerate it up to 103 mph.
