General Motors killed the Hummer brand back in 2010, but there’s a chance that it might be coming back. Before you gawk at the idea of another large gas guzzling SUV on the road, the revived Hummer brand may look entirely different.

Bloomberg is reporting that Hummer may be revived as an all-electric SUV brand. General Motors is currently mulling the idea as a rival to other popular off-road SUVs, mainly the Jeep Wrangler. If Hummer goes fully electric, it would also give GM a rival to electric car startup Rivian. The startup is garnering a lot of attention lately, due to investments from Amazon and Ford.

We don’t know when GM will give the green light, but according to the reports, GM is already working on a few Hummer concepts. Right now GM isn’t saying if Hummer will return, since GM President Mark Reuss stated to Bloomberg that he’s “not sure” about a Hummer rebirth.
