Hummer’s general manager, Martin Walsh has confirmed that the smaller than an H3, H4 will be released in 2010. “Our growth will be downwards in terms of size.” There could also be a smaller model than the H4, if there is demand for it.
The new 2010 Hummer H4 will be smaller than the current H3 and will be designed to go against other compact competitors, such as the Jeep Wrangler. The new SUV will be built on an upcoming compact GM platform when it is released. Although the SUV will be smaller than their current offerings, it will still offer “legitimate off-road capability.”
A concept version of the SUV may be at the Detroit Auto Show next year.
