Range Rover is reportedly mulling the idea of a more powerful version of its recently introduced Evoque. According to Autocar the high-performance version of the Evoque is powered by the same Ford-derived 2.0L as the standard Evoque, but it packs a higher pressure turbo to give it 300 horsepower, up from the current 237.

Evoque program director David Mitchell has been driving around in an Evoque prototype with the upgraded engine and he states that the chassis can handle the extra power.

The only big dilemma is how to badge a high-performance version of the Evoque, since Range Rover does not currently have a performance sub-brand.
