Honda has announced the introduction of three new turbocharged direct-injection engines that will be used by small-medium sized vehicles in its lineup.

The three turbocharged engines: 2.0L, 1.5L and 1.0L will eventually be offered in Honda’s future lineup. The 2.0L, which will see life under the hood of the next Civic Type-R, generates more than 280 horsepower. Honda hasn’t released the specs for the 1.5L four-cyl or 1.0L three-cyl turbocharged engines.
There’s no word if any of these engines will be offered in Honda’s U.S. lineup, but keep your fingers crossed.
