While sales of the Fit EV are scheduled to end later this year, it was actually part of the initial plan. When the Fit EV launched in 2012, Honda only committed to making 1,100 Fit EVs.

Honda has also reportedly discontinued the FCX Clarity fuel-cell vehicle as well.
What does Honda have planned for the future? Honda plans on expanding its two-motor hybrid system, which was introduced in the 2014 Accord Plug-in Hybrid and Accord Hybrid. Last year Honda also unveiled the FCEV concept at the LA Auto Show, which was a preview of the successor to the FCX Clarity.
