Last week Honda gave us our first official look at the all-new 2013 Honda Accord sedan and coupe models. Today Honda kicked off the production of the ninth-generation Accord’s Earth Dreams engines and continuously variable transmissions (CVTs). The production of the Accord will kick off next week.
Honda hasn’t released the official specs for the new Accord other than stating that the four-cylinder, which is expected to be a 2.4L four-cylinder, will also get direct-injection. The four-cylinder will be mated to either a six-speed manual or CVT. Honda is going to continue to offer a V6 powered Accord and a plug-in hybrid Accord will arrive early next year.
The 2013 Honda Accord should start arriving in dealerships in about a month.
