Honda is Not Going to Kill the Ridgeline…Anytime Soon

Last month Honda announced the death of the funky Element, which lead some to speculate that the slow selling Ridgeline would be next… Last year Honda only sold 16,142 Ridgelines, which is roughly the same as 2009. Compare that total to the Toyota Tacoma with 106,198 units and the Chevrolet Colorado, which sold 24,642 units and it looks pretty bad for the Ridgeline. But according to Executive Vice President John Mendel of Honda’s U.S. unit, the Ridgeline is here to stay.

According to Mendel the Ridgeline has developed a strong following and that “We think we have a ways to go on the Ridgeline.” Mendel didn’t mention when we can expect a new Ridgeline…
