General Motors has announced that its updated Super Cruise hands-free driving system can now has an automatic lane-change system and drivers can also use it while hauling a trailer.

For the 2022 model year there will be six vehicles in its lineup that are available with the updated Super Cruise system, including the Cadillac Escalade, CT4 and CT5; Chevy Silverado; GMC Hummer EV and Sierra. The Cadillac XT6 and Chevy Bolt EUV are also available with a different version of Super Cruise.

“We’re excited to expand Super Cruise to even more new models with additional capabilities to provide our customers with even more opportunities to go hands-free,” said Mario Maiorana, Super Cruise chief engineer. “The additional Super Cruise-enabled vehicles and new features are an important step toward our goal of enabling hands-free driving 95% of the time and getting people more comfortable with letting go of the wheel.”

GM says that Super Cruise will be available on 22 vehicles by 2022.
