It’s being reported that General Motors recently filed a trademark for the name “Badlands” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on February 16, 2015. The application states that the name will be used for “motor land vehicle, namely, trucks.”

So does that mean that the Badlands name could be used for an off-road truck that would compete with Ford’s F-150 Raptor? We’ll have to wait and see…
