GM to Add Another Cruze Shift to Keep up with Expected Demand

GM is expected to announce today that a third shift is going to be added at its Lordstown plant in Ohio that will produce the new Chevy Cruze. The 40 mpg Chevy Cruze is a critical model for GM’s recovery and is expected in showrooms in the third quarter of 2010.

This announcement means that the once idled plant will now be working round-the-clock.
