The U.S. isn’t getting the Chevy Cruze until 2011, but GM has recently introduced the car in South Korea as the Daewoo Lacetti.

The launch of the Lacetti in South Korea is the first market that one of GM’s most important new cars has been launched in.

The Lacetti is powered by the same 1.6L engine that we will get that can be mated to either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

Europe is going to get the sedan next year and the U.S. may get it in 2010, although it’s been rumored that the we won’t actually get it until 2011 as a 2012 model. By then the car will look old…
