GM CEO Dan Akerson has confirmed the automaker’s plans for a larger Cadillac sedan that will sit above the XTS in Cadillac’s lineup. Akerson recently visited USA Today’s headquarters where he confirmed that the new sedan will arrive within the next two years.
Akerson did not provide any other information about the new sedan, but it is being reported that it will borrow some design cues from the all-new 2014 CTS. It will also be built on a modified CTS platform and will be offered in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants.

Even though the new sedan will be larger than the XTS, the XTS will continue to be offered in the lineup.
