Hyundai has announced that the next model for its new Genesis luxury brand – the Genesis G70, will debut this month on September 15. The G70 will be a new entry-level model in the Genesis lineup, but will share many of its parts with the rear-wheel drive Kia Stinger.

The Genesis G70 will move the brand further down market with a rival to models, like the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Hyundai this teaser of the Genesis G70, which it says signals the introduction of a new design language for the brand – “athletic elegance.”

Although it will share its DNA with the Stinger, the G70 will reportedly be a smaller and lighter. But don’t worry, even though it will be smaller than the Stinger, the Genesis G70 will be powered by the same twin-turbocharged 3.3L V6. There’s a change that the G70 could also get a slight power boost over the Stinger’s 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft. of torque. The 3.3L G70 can reach 62 mph in 4.7 seconds, which is slightly faster than the Stinger at 4.9 seconds.

A 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder and 2.2L diesel engine will also be offered, but don’t count on the diesel arriving here.

The 2018 Genesis G70 will go on sale this month in Korea, but the U.S. will have to wait until early next year.
