Ford and several automakers have announced plans to make a change to their EVs so that they can be charged using Tesla’s Supercharger network. While several automakers have also announced that it will offer an adapter for current EVs, Ford has now announced that it will provide this for free to “eligible Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lighting owners”.

Ford vehicles will have access to the Supercharger network starting in spring 2024. Ford also says that it will start to transition to the NACS charge port in 2025, which will mean that its new EVs will not need for an adapter for access to Tesla Superchargers.
