Ford has unveiled a hotter version of the Fiesta ST, the Fiesta ST200, which is debuting this week at the Geneva Motor Show. It’s 197-hp matches the Fiesta ST, but thanks to an overboost function, the horsepower rating climbs to 212, making the Fiesta ST200 the “most powerful production Fiesta ever.”
The overboost function lifts the horsepower rating for up to 15 seconds, while the 1.6L engine generates 214 lb-ft. of torque and up to 236 lb-ft. with overboost. The 1.6L is mated to a six-speed manual transmission with a new 4.06 final drive ratio – compared to 3.82 in the Fiesta ST. The Fiesta ST200 reaches 62 mph in 6.7 seconds, which is just a bit faster than the Fiesta ST at 6.9 seconds. Its top speed is 143 mph.
The Fiesta ST200 is available with an exclusive Storm Gray paint to help it stand out from the rest of the Fiesta lineup. It also rides on unique 17-inch wheels and inside you’ll find special Recaro seats.
Production for the European market starts in June, but Ford has not confirmed if the Fiesta ST200 will be available in the U.S.
