Ford has unveiled the 2015 F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang GT, which is inspired by the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II.
Ford has unveiled the 2015 F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang GT, which is inspired by the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II.
The one-off F-35 Lightning II Edition features a gray exterior with yellow accents, a large carbon fiber front splitter to give it a meaner face, side skirts, a rear diffuser and an large rear wing. Ford hasn’t made any changes under the hood, so it’s powered by the same 435-hp 5.0L V8 as the standard Mustang GT.

Ford is going to auction off the F-35 Lightning II Edition with all proceeds going to the EAA Young Eagles organization that provides free introductory flights for children and teens between the ages of 8 and 17, with the hope of inspiring them to seek a career in aviation.
