If you missed out on the one-off Eagle Squadron Mustang GT, here’s your chance to get another Ford Mustang that’s been blessed by world champion drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. Ford has announced that it has partnered again with Vaughn Gittin Jr. and his RTR Vehicles team to create the new Series 1 Mustang RTR.
The Series 1 package will be available in early 2019 and is designed to be installed at the dealer on either the Mustang EcoBoost Performance Package 1 or Mustang GT Performance Package 1 model. It stands out with its more aggressive styling, but under the skin there’s a Ford Performance suspension with adjustable sway bars or MagneRide suspensions.
Other unique features include, a staggered wheel and tire package with 19-inch wheels, the Performance Pack 1 spoiler with an RTR Gurney flap, RTR grill with lighting, body and aerodynamics packages, and unique graphics. You’ll also find RTR fender badges, floor mats, shift knob and puddle lamps.
“Our goal was to take the driving and owner experience of the iconic Ford Mustang to the next level,” said Gittin, President and Chief Fun-Haver of RTR Vehicles. “This collaboration has created a Mustang that offers smile-inducing street driving, diverse capability on the track and a very distinctive owner experience for those looking to stand out from the crowd.”
Ford will sell only 500 of the serialized Series 1 Mustang RTR vehicles.
