Bentley has announced that production of its Bentayga SUV has kicked off at its plant in Crewe, UK. After four years since the initial concept stage, the first deliveries of the Bentayga will arrive in January 2016.
Wolfgang Dürheimer, Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley Motors, said: “Bentley Bentayga will be the benchmark against which all other SUVs are measured, defining a new segment – the luxury SUV.

Bentley has labeled its Betayga as the fastest and most powerful SUV in the world, thanks to its 6.0L W12 engine that packs 600 horsepower and 663 lb-ft. of torque. The Bentayga can reach 60 mph in a mere four seconds with a top speed set at 187 mph.

Pricing for the Bentayga will start at $229,100 when it arrives in the U.S.
