The first all-new Chevy Malibu has been produced in Korea at GM’s plant in Incheon. The eighth-generation Chevy Malibu will go on sale in Korea first before it hits the rest of the world.

“The new Malibu is our most important product introduction of the year,” GM Korea President and CEO Mike Arcamone said. “It will play a significant role in enabling us to attain our goals in the domestic market while ensuring that GM Korea becomes an important part of Chevrolet’s success in its second century.”

The U.S. is slated to get the 2013 Chevy Malibu in the first quarter of 2012.
