It’s being reported that Fiat is working on another turbocharged version of the Fiat 500, dubbed the 500T and a convertible 500 Abarth thanks to documents that Fiat has filed with NHTSA and the California Air Resources Board (CARB).

A recent document filed with NHTSA shows that Fiat is going to release a 500T model, which will be sold alongside the other Pop, Sport, Lounge and Abarth models. The Fiat 500T will be the second turbocharged version of the 500, but it will pack less power than the 160-hp 500 Abarth. The NHTSA document also shows that Fiat is planning a convertible version of the Abarth.

Documents filed with the California Air Resources Board also support the existence of the 500T and that it will be powered by the same 1.4L turbocharged engine as the 500 Abarth. The CARB documents show that Fiat’s turbocharged 1.4L will be used for the Dodge Dart, Fiat 500 Abarth and another 500 model. Car and Driver expects the 500T to only have around 130 horsepower, compared to the 500 Abarth’s 160-hp.
