A few days ago Ford teased its new police vehicle, but it isn’t arriving until sometime next year. In the meantime, Dodge has unveiled its latest vehicle for the police force – the 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit. The Durango based vehicle debuted today at the 2018 National Sheriffs’ Association Show in New Orleans.

The 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit has received a new front fascia with integrated brake-cooling air ducts for improved brake performance and a new performance-tuned, load-leveling suspension. The 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit can be powered by either a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine rated at 293 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque or the 5.7L HEMI V-8 rated at 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive.

Other performance upgrades include the 13.8-inch front and 13-inch rear pursuit-rated brake package, front- and rear-stabilizer bars and 18-inch aluminum wheels.
