Do Consumers Really Prefer Cupholders Over Fuel Economy?

According to the latest report by CNW Marketing Research, consumers prefer heated seats and cup holders over fuel economy.

CNW states that cup holders and heated seats are a higher priority at 73% compared to fuel efficiency at 67% for car shoppers. So even though everyone is talking about more fuel efficient cars, it isn’t necessarily true once it comes time to sign the check.

According to GM fuel economy is becoming more of a concern since, four years ago fuel economy wasn’t even in the top ten purchase reasons and today it is number 3.
