It’s being reported that Aston Martin has been studying the idea of putting the automaker’s 6.0L V12 engine under the hood of the Aston Martin Cygnet city car. The Cygnet is based on the Toyota iQ and even though the car is tiny, sources claim that the Cygnet can actually fit the larger engine.
Sources claim that a V12 powered Cygnet would require many other upgrades to handle the extra power and weight, since the standard model is only powered by a small 1.3L engine. If the V12 powered Cygnet does get the go ahead from Aston Martin it would likely be sold as a project car, just like the Nissan Juke R. The Juke R is powered by the GT-R’s engine and has a price tag around £400,000.
