Chrysler is reportedly going to introduce a Hellcat version of the Chrysler 300 next year. The Chrysler 300 Hellcat will be introduced as a 2018 model before the whole Chrysler 300 lineup gets a refresh for the 2019 model year.
Chrysler has yet to make an official announcement, but Automotive News is reporting that the Chrysler 300 Hellcat is in the works. The news shouldn’t be that surprising, since the Chrysler 300’s cousin, the Dodge Charger is offered in a Hellcat version. Will buyers want a 707 horsepower 300 Hellcat? That remains to be seen. Chrysler did offer a 300 SRT a few years ago, but it was discontinued after the 2013 model year.
The 2019 Chrysler 300 will reportedly get a refresh that will help it drop a few pounds, which may even see the introduction of a new turbocharged four-cylinder version.
