There has been speculation that Chrysler is going to start killing off its slower selling models.

Well the board has voted and the PT Cruiser Convertible, Chrysler Pacifica, Dodge Magnum and Chrysler Crossfire all received a death sentence. Many suspected that the regular PT Cruiser would also be dropped due to its disappointing sales this year, but it does have a loyal following. The PT Cruiser is also the third best selling Chrysler model behind the 300 and Town & Country minivan.

In addition to the discontinued models, Chrysler is also going to cut 8,500 to 10,000 workers from its workforce through next year.

On a more positive note four new models will be added to the lineup the Dodge Challenger, Dodge Journey crossover and the hybrid versions of the Dodge Durango and Chrysler Aspen SUVs.
