Chrysler is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan, which started the minivan segment back in 1983.

Chrysler is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan, which started the minivan segment back in 1983. Since 1983, Chrysler has sold 13 million minivans.

The first Chrysler Group minivan rolled off the Windsor Assembly line on November 2, 1983. To celebrate the 30th anniversary, Chrysler is introducing a new 30th Anniversary Edition for both minivans. The 2014 Town & Country 30th Anniversary Edition is based on the Touring-L model and adds 17-inch aluminum wheels with polished faces and painted Satin Carbon pockets, “30th Anniversary” badging and the availability of Granite Crystal Pearl Coat paint. The interior features black Alcantara seat inserts with Nappa seat bolsters, piano black steering wheel bezels and instrument panel trim, third-row power folding seats, power folding mirrors, a 30th Anniversary logo in the gauge cluster and touch-screen radio splash screen.

2014 Dodge Grand Caravan

The 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan 30th Anniversary Edition will be available on both the SE and SXT models. It features unique 17-inch polished satin carbon aluminum wheels, body-color heated exterior mirrors and 30th Anniversary badging on the front fenders. Unique interior appointments include silver accent stitching and piano black accents throughout, black cloth seats, a black leather-wrapped steering wheel, black leather-wrapped shift knob, black headliner and overhead console , chrome heating and air conditioning trim bezels, power second- and third-row windows, a 30th Anniversary logo in the gauge cluster and a 30th Anniversary logo on the key fob.
