Buick has announced that it is going to sell a rebadged version of the Chevy Volt in China as the Buick Velite 5.
From the rear, the Velite 5 is nearly identical to the Volt, with the exception of the Buick badging. We’ll have to wait and see what’s been changed on the front. Under the skin, the Elite 5 gets the same plug-in hybrid powertrain that can has an electric driving over 100 km. In EREV mode, the Velite 5 can has atotal driving range of over 750 km.

Although Buick has pretty much stayed away from electrified vehicles in the U.S., in the next two years in China, Buick plans to introduce plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles.
